UPDATE!!!! (finally)

I know I haven't updated in like 3 months >< School has been super busy and at one point there was some drama but I lived through first semester and I can finally write an update ^__^

Alright so first update...I'm done classes!!!! Had my final presentation and my last exam last night...sooo freaking happy it's all over now. I was busting my ass off working on that final project...I even got smacked in the face with a freaking fabric book. If anyone new to the blog is reading this I'm a first year Interior Decorating student, so I gotta look for fabrics and tiles and all that jazz. So I had my presentation yesterday, was totally freaking out cause I absolutely hate presenting in front of people but I somehow did a decent job, didn't really stutter. Then I had to wait five hours for my English exam cause they decided to have it at 7 at night x_x So as of last night at 9pm I was officially done my first semester!!!

Next update....I'm a total hypocrite cause I got twitter =_= Never was a big fan of constantly 'tweeting' what I was doing every minute of the day but me being me gave in to peer pressure (you know who you are lol) and made an account yesterday. I've only tweeted three times so far but maybe I'll start enjoying the tweeting eventually...maybe. If you wanna add me on twitter my username is CBonni...don't ask me why I chose that name its a long story =p

Hmm...let's see what else is there to talk about....in exactly a week from now I'm gonna look like a chipmunk cause I'll be getting my wisdom teeth removed and after the surgery my cheeks are gonna swell up like crazy...what fun huh?

Settled down in Rez and first day of school

If you read my last post you would know last week I was running around getting things ready for my move-in. So finally on labour day I moved into rez and so far so good ^_^ Haven't really made any friends on my floor yet so hopefully as the year goes by that will change *crosses fingers* Living in rez is a pretty good experience...it actually does feel like your living by yourself and I think its a pretty good training process for myself to see if I can actually handle living by myself and I can learn to be independent which is always a good thing. My room is pretty empty right now but I may be bringing in a few more things, such as a printer but I'll have to figure out how to bring it here since I take the bus...it would be pretty tiring and troublesome to lug a printer around on an hour and a half ride.

So the day after move-in was my first day of school (Sept. 7th) and I had an 8 o'clock class which was brutal  cause I had to wake up at 7am to get ready and find my classroom. However, as the day went by it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be...all the teachers seem to be pretty nice and easy to approach. The school is pretty big but there are signs and stuff and I luckily haven't gotten lost yet so I hope that continues =D

6 Days till move in = one hectic week

So for those of you who don't know I was on the wait list for my residence at Humber and I kept calling and stuff since the end of June to find out my position. As of last week I was still number 21 and move in was the passed Sunday. 

However, on Tuesday morning I get a phone call from rez telling me that I have been offered a room and of course I was super happy and couldn't wait to move in on Monday. BUT only having 6 days to buy everything I would need at rez and getting everything packed is not a easy thing (although it may be for some) since I still haven't finished my shopping for school. 

So since yesterday I've been running around stores and shopping malls getting things I would need for rez and making a huge ass list of EVERYTHING i need. Doesn't help when it's plus forty degrees outside.

Can't wait to move in and settle down after all this running around, only sad part is the day after my move in will be my first day of classes and not to mention it's my longest day >< 

Vampire Sucks is HIGH-larious

I just watched "Vampire Sucks" today which is a spoof of the first two Twilight movies, "Twilight" and "New Moon" and a bit of "Eclipse." It takes place in the small town of Sporks, where Becca moves to live with her father, Frank. There she meets the Sullen Family and falls in love with Edward Sullen.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm a Twilight fan and absolutely love the books...not as crazy about the movies but still a fan. But this movie was really funny, some may find it stupid and lame but it keeps you laughing throughout the whole movie. It kind of follows the original storyline with minor changes here and there. Out of the other spoof movies that are out there such as the "Scary Movie" series, "Disaster Movie" and "Superhero Movie" this one is actually one of the better ones. 

Although it doesn't really have it's own plot and it's mainly a movie for you to laugh at it's worth watching it once in theaters. They use a lot of references that just makes me smile or laugh and the actors do a really good job in portraying their roles. There isn't one joke you won't understand or won't laugh at, but that may be my immature side showing =p

So if you're looking for a movie where you don't have to bring you brain to this is defintely the right movie. Unless, your a twi-hard fan that can't take a joke, but even if you are a twi-hard fan you would enjoy this movie in my opinion cause it doesn't really bash the movie it just does things to make it less serious and puts it in a more happy atmosphere. 

Rating: ★★★★★ (5 Stars - cause I personally don't find anything wrong with it)

The Expendables Movie Review

*This is my first review so try to be nice =)*

The Expendables is a movie about a group of mercenaries whose given a task to overthrow a Latin American dictator. Directed by and starring Sylvester Stallone, Jason Satham and Jet Li with a special appearance by Arnold Schwarzenegger. 

With a cast like this, the movie is bound to have a lot of action scenes from car chase scenes, gun wars to full contact combat. It's definitely worth watching twice in my opinion. The storyline was written well and starting from the beginning there were already action sequences. There wasn't any point in the movie that was boring and not related to the movie as a whole. There were also a few comedic scenes which helped lighten the overall mood. 

However, some would feel that not all the actors got enough screentime. The story mainly had Stallone as the center and other actors such as Statham and Li were made into minor characters. Me, being a little bit biased wanted to see more screentime for Jet Li. Although he did get a fight scene, the camera moved too fast to see what was actually happening during the fight. This was also the case for some of the chase scenes and gun wars, everything seemed to be happening too fast and you were unable to see clearly who was who and what was happening.

People with weak stomachs shouldn't watch this movie cause it's very graphical and you fully see blood squirting out and limbs falling off people. Although it helped add to the effect it was a little excessive in my opinon. 

Overall, the plot was written pretty well and it's definitely a movie packed with action. It would have been better if some scenes were filmed better and less chaotic and the screen time was more evenly distributed between the stars.

3 weeks till school T_T

Can't believe I only have three weeks till school....four months sure went by fast (four months for me cause i'm in college). Okay not really THAT fast but still, August is sure going by really fast...it's already the 18th. Starting to get more stressed...so much to do and so little time!! Gotta figure out which laptop to get, get my art supplies, buy some more clothes and get a new school bag. Not to mention I'm still crossing my fingers to get into rez. If I hopefully do get in I gotta start packing for that too!! Even though there's like three weeks it still feels like there's not enough time *sigh*

I got my English placement test coming Monday...so that'll be my first time going to school by myself and by public transit...hopefully I won't get lost ><

PornStar.....THE DRINK!!

So I went to my friend's house the other day to just chill and hang out...we had some pizza and was playing on her PS3. After eating she made me this drink that seriously tasted like a blue freezie. SOOOO GOOD!!! 

It was "Sour Puss Raspberry," "Blue Curacoa" and 7-up and ice...although there's like 15% alcohol in both liqueurs but you couldn't taste any of it. It was really fruity and tastes more like juice than alcohol. I had two beer mugs of that thing and I got sooo hyper!!! We were playing "Little Big Planet" and I laughed so hard I cried. That's how crazy I got. 

I would definitely recommend this as a party drink and for someone who doesn't like the taste of alcohol...but one thing to keep in mind is how much you intake since people tend to drink more if they can't taste the alcohol and that's not the best thing seeing how you can get drunk pretty quickly if you chug these drinks. 

Oh and remember NEVER DRINK AND DRIVE!!!

New Design, new name, new link, fake beef...OH MY!!

 Okay, so it's not that big of a deal but as you can see I've decided to change my blog design (again) cause I got bored of the other one and wanted one that looked less kiddie (?) and one that I could use for a long time. Well other than it being less kiddie it's cause since I'm going to college in Sepetember and actually finishing the programing (if i didn't my friend would definitely kill me) I wanted a little change. Plus, I really hope to post more once I start school (if time permits) since my life would hopefully be less boring.

So along with the new design I of course needed a new name, so with the help of my friend, we got the name "Seeing Through My Eyes." Since I'm kinda entering adulthood and the world that surrounds that I thought this name would be a nice fit. Hopefully, this will be the beginning of a something awesome!!

Now, in the links section you will see a link called "KSSn," what is that you ask...well for starters it stands for "Kai Shin So Nyuh" which in mandarin means "Happy Girls." It is the name of the dance group me and my friends made, we're still starting so we don't got much. Our offiicial debut was on May 28th, 2010, and we mainly focus on Korean hip-hop. The link leads to our facebook page which has videos and info on the group and each of its members. So go check it out if you got time ^_^

Lastly, you all must be wondering what the hell I mean by "fake beef" well it begins on Saturday. I was doing my groceries and there was this buy one get one free on these frozen entreés (not gonna mention the name so I won't get sued) so being the asian that I am I'm like okay let's try it...I found one that I wanted to try but had difficulty with the second one...finally I saw this pot roast beef one and the picture looked pretty good so I'm like "alright let's try this." Yesterday (Sunday) I decided to try it out for lunch....it looked NOTHING like the picture!!! The beef was these flat cube looking things and had nicely cut sides...something you never get with real beef. The texture was all wrong too!! It tasted like those soy beefs vegeatarians eat. Even the potatoes and green beans that came with it didn't taste right. Oh, these were those weight watcher things so before I ate it i'm like okay there's not gonna be a lot of food but I never expected it to be SOOOOO fake!! I was pretty much spazzing over it for the rest of the day to my mom. But like seroiusly I wouldn't suggest you eating any weight watcher beef stuff they probably put like 1% real beef while the rest is like soy or something.

Harry Potter Exhibit

So today me and two of my friends went to go see the "Harry Potter Exhibit" at the Ontario Science Center. It was TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!!

There were soo many probs and costumes from all the movies!! Too bad we couldn't take pictures or I would definitely post them on here =(

But it was still soo cool...they had Harry Potter's robes, Harry and Ron's bedroom, Quidditch outfits and props, Yule Ball outifts (which were soo pretty...i really liked Cho Chang's dress), Hagrid's Hut and so much more!!!

OMG and the entrace to the exhibit was amazing!!! It had the trian, the sorting hat omg u have to see it...seriously if you ever get the chance you should definitely go check it out...its sooo worth it!!!

The only thing i didn't like was one we couldn't take pictues..but i understand why but still haha and two we couldn't re-enter so once you left the exhibit you couldn't go back in.

The souvenir shop was really cool too..it had wants and ties and just loads of stuff. Too bad they were really expensive so I didn't end up buying a lot. But I'm planning to wait until I go to "Harry Potter World" with my friend next year to buy something extremely memorable ^^

April 30, Friday

Was too tired to make this post on Friday so here it is today (i still count this as saturday...although i'm still pretty tired from work i really wanted to make this post =p) 

So here in Canada students have till May 1st to confirm college acceptances and being one of those students I didn't want to wait till the last minute. I got these acceptances months ago so why did I wait till the last minute to reply you ask? Simple. I couldn't choose which program to go into. 

I was accepted in both Graphic Design at one college and Interior Decorating at another. It was really hard for me to decide since i didn't know much about interior decorating and there were some courses in graphic design I didn't really like. Since I had school as well it didn't leave for much time to actually think about it. 

Well anywayz enough background info. So yesterday (since I'm treating today still as saturday) I wanted to get it done since I had work today, i sat my butt down and thought really really hard on which I should choose and in the end I finally chose one and I hopefully won't regret it. As much as I want to tell you which one I chose I can't since one of my friends wants it to be a surprise and find out in September. Since she may actually read this post I'll keep it a secret until September or late August. I'll post a response post to it then *writes down memo*.

So that was the first awesome thing of Friday, the second was I finally got me new phone!!! Some may find it too big and bulky and not that good but I love it lots ^^ I got the LG BL40 also known as the Chocolate Touch. 

After using it for a day I think i've got a hang of the phone and I'm pretty happy with my phone. Still trying to figure some stuff out but those are like minor things. 

That's all i'm gonna post...I can feel the start of a major headache.

My New Love!!!!

I recently fell in love with a Korean girl group called "Girls Generation" aka "So Nyuh Shi Dae." It has a total of 9 members (i know that sounds crazy but their really good) they debuted in 2007 and their already a major hit in Korea and Asia. The members include: Taeyeon (the leader), Jessica, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona and Seohyun (my fave character and the youngest in the group). I first heard of them when my friend played their song "Gee" it was soo damn catchy me and my friends started to learn the dance lol

After that I did a lil research on who these girls were and before I knew it I was in love with them (in a non-lesbian way) and started listening to their songs....they tunes are so damn catchy you just want to listen to it over and over again =p

So for anyone who wants to listen/watch cute beautiful sexy girls you should definitely check them out....go to their fan site to find out more about each girl and what they went through before they became a huge hit! Some songs I suggest would be: 'Gee', 'Oh!', 'Genie' and 'Into The New World'.

CANADA WINS THE GAME AGAINST USA!!!!!!

Yesterday was definitely a historic day for Canada yesterday...the men's hockey team won the gold against the U.S. last night at the Winter Olympic games. That gold gave Canada a total of 14 gold medals in the Olympic games AND setting the record for the most gold medals won in the games.

Not to be mean to the Americans but this year was definitely our game ^^ 

So basically this is how the game went (for any who missed it) at the first period of the game it was 2-0 (Canada with the 2 points) then during the second period it became 2-1, by the time it was third period we all hoped Canada would win but with 24 seconds left US tied the game. Overtime was sooooo intense...me nd my friends were in the basement of my friend's house watching the game and i could tell you we were super loud....the winning shot happened so fast we missed it when it happened but luckily they replayed it....the winning shot was made by 22-year old Sydney Crosby (number 86) and that was that we had won the last gold medal of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. Canadians all over the world were cheering. Got to admit the Americans looked pretty upset when they lost even though they got silver.

That was probably the one and only time I've ever watched hockey and been worked up about it lol but it was definitely an intense and awesome game!!

Grammys 2010

So Grammys were on last night and it was pretty good...thought it would have been every more awesome but wasn't as awesome as i thought it would be...glad Taylor Swift won awards and I was really excited to watch the whole MJ thing...but i think people kinda over hyped it...WAY too short for one thing and they should have definitely played more of his songs haha Prince and Paris' speech was really good although they were both really nervous but hey what you expect it is their first time to speak publicly in front of all these people who wouldn't be nervous. But they were really mature and it was really sad =( Would have been cool if the artists sang more of MJ's songs or even played some old clips of him instead of just showing the "Earth Song" clip from "This Is It"
