Weekend Madness

A lot of things happened this weekend....well for me it feel like a lot =p Okay so let's start with Thursday (ya i know its not really part of the weekend but too bad lol) met up with some friends at pmall and took some pictures...mind you it was REALLY stuffy and hot in the picture machine (tip: don't try to stuff 6 people in a picture machine you will sweat like crazy) but regardless it was still fun got some really nice looking picutres ^^ Then went back to my friend's house, chilled and had dinner (had some AMAZING garlic bread =p)...best part was watching my friend try to fix her picture for her student id lol jks jks (love you gurl <3)

Didn't really do much on Friday in fact i can't really remember what i did on Friday at all :S So moving on to Saturday (Michael Jackson's 51st Birthday) so went downtown to participate in the "Beat It Flash Mob" which I had a lot of fun...there were alot of people who participated and who came to take pictures and film. They did it three times at three different locations (even though i just stayed for two) it was still amazing...the second time we literally did it in the middle of the street and cars just stopped and watched lol After that went to karaoke a bit with my friends before heading back home and finding out that Michael Jackson's Dangerous Concert in Bucharest was on MTV...dat was pretty much the rest of my Saturday night.

Didn't really do much on Sunday either just sat around my computer listening to music and talking to friends on msn...went out to dinner with a friend and went to wal-mart and just chilled and got high off god knows what but that's how we roll =D

Michael Jackson: Forever the King of Pop

As many of you may have know a wonderful musician and a great humanitarian passed away on June 25th (although I still don't say he's dead cause he's still in the hearts of all his fans and lives on through his music) but anyhoo he passed away due to cardiac arrest which the police says is caused by an overdose of Dipravan (aka Propofol) and is treating this case as a homicide. The main suspect right now (who may be charged with first degree or second degree murder) is Michael's personal doctor Dr. Conrad Murray.

I for one believe that Michael was murdered by the doctor and there are facts to back it up:

- for one thing this so-called doctor gave Michael four (or more) different kind of drugs...one every half hour from 1 am to 2:30 am on the day the King died and then gave him propofal at 10:30 am

- when the doctor comes back from the washroom (he says it was 2 minuts max but officers says it was at least 5 minutes) he sees Michael wasn't breathing and the first thing he does is not call 911 but make three other phone calls (one to Dr. Arnold Klein (he gave propfol to Murray to give to Michael), one to his attorney and one mystery call), THEN calls 911 (47 minutes after Michael stopped breathing).

- he performed CPR on Michael's bed and not on the floor where its hard, he also stops CPR to go downstairs to call for Prince (Michael's eldest son) and not an employee or anyone who could help save Michael

- there was a bloody t-shirt found in Michael's closet (the shirt still had the price tag so it was never worn)

- the 911 phone called released to the media (the person making the phone call sounded way too calm as well as the officer receiving the call)

Another thing I find contradicting is that many people who were close to Michael during his last days (Kenny Ortega (director of the "This Is It" concerts), his personal fitness trainer and other people working with Michael all said that he was quite healthy and he also passed a physical test before starting the tour rehearsals. But some other people said when they last saw Michael he was fragile and weak. But if you look the video of his This Is It Rehersal that was showed in news broadcasts he looks quite healthy to me.

Alright so for those of you who may not know Michael here's a short bio:

Michael Jackson's career started at the age of 5 when him and his brothers (Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and later Randy) formed the Jackson 5 (The Jacksons w/ Randy)...they became worldwide superstars after they were discovered by Diana Ross and were brought to perform in front of Motown's Berry Gordy. The Jackson brothers had many hits including "I'll Be There," "ABC," "Ben," "I Want You Back," "Shake You Body (Down To The Ground)," "Dancing Machine," and much much more.Out of all the brothers little Michael became the most famous and later started his own solo career but that wasn't until later on.

It was when Michael was in a movie called "The Wiz" (Remake of the "Wizard of Oz" with an all black cast, Michael played the lion alongside Diana Ross) was he introduced to Quincy Jones (who would later help him produce four albums and many many number one hits).

In 1979 Michael's first solo album "Off the Wall" came out which produced two No.1 hits: "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough" and "Rock With You." His second solo album and also the world's best-selling album to this day, "Thriller," came out in 1983, this album produced three No.1 hits including "Billie Jean," "Beat It" and "Say Say Say." It was in 1983 where Michael performed his famous moonwalk during the "Motown 25" performance. It was also this album that helped Michael earn 8 Grammy awards. He  then produced  1987's "Bad" album producing eight No.1 hits including "Bad," "I Just Can't Stop Loving You," "Dirty Diana" and five others. Michael produced one more album with Quincy Jones, 1991's "Dangerous" which included one No.1 hit: "Black Or White." Michael went and produced thre more solo albums including 1995's "HIStory," (which included "Scream" - duet with sister Janet), 1997's "Blood on the Dance Floor," and 2001's "Invincible."

In Michael's personal life he was married to Lisa Marie Presely from 1994 to 1996 when Lisa Marie filed for divorce, the two still remained friends. In 1996 he married Debbie Rowe who was a former nurse at Michael's dermatologist. They had two children together Michael Joseph Jackson Jr. (aka Prince) and Paris Michael Katherine Jackson. The two filed for divorce in 1998 and Michael got the custody of both kids. In 2002 Michael's second son Prince Michael Jackson (aka Blanket) was born from a surrogate mother.

Okay back to other Michael news...his 51st birthday is TOMORROW!!! CAN'T WAIT!!! Gonna be going to downtown and doing the "Beat It" dance...if any of you are in Toronto come on down to Dundas Square or the Eaton Center and watch us dance or come join in on the dancing if you want =D I'll be making a post on that too and hopefully i'll be able to get some pictures.

The re-print of Michael's autobiography "Moon Walk" is said to be coming out in October and in this version the intro will be written by Berry Gordy.

There is an official Opus being made for Michael which Michael was working on before his death and is the only official thing that is approved by Michael's Estate. It contains never-before-seen photos, poems and quotes. You can pre-order it right now at half the price and will go on sale November 1st for full price. They will ship it out on December 7th so that all the fans will be able to get it for Christmas.

AEG along with Sony are releasing behind-the-scenes footage and rehearsals of "This Is It' and will be turned into a movie for fans all around the world to view Michael's work which would have made history as the biggest comeback ever!! Kenny Ortega who was the director of the "This Is It" concerts will be directing this movie and it is said that some parts will be in 3-D for a better experience. Kenny Ortega stated:
"The world will see what our team was so fortunate to experience, which was the full commitment, passion and creativity that Michael put into this project. He was the architect of This Is It, and we were his builders. It will also show Michael as one of the greatest entertainers in the world and one of the industry’s most creative minds. This Is It was Michael’s last theatrical work and although it was still a work in progress, I think the footage will show that the process was something that Michael deeply enjoyed and that it was clear that he was on his way to another theatrical triumph."
The movie is said will run for two weeks starting Octorber 28th, 2009 but tickets will start going on sale on September 27th, 2009. It will be in theatres all around the world.

That's all the information I got on Michael right now, as I learn more about his case and other things regarding him I will be making posts and keeping an update..so stay tuned MJ fans ^^
