When will my life begin?

Do you ever feel empty and alone, without a clue of which direction your life should take? Like someone wandering in the desert, not sure if the path they're on will bring them to their final destination (or a destination at all for that matter). They could just continue to wander for the rest of their lives and never know what their purpose or goal was.

Lately I've been questioning myself a lot, what am I doing with my life? What are my goals? Where do I want to end up? Is this how I pictured my life? I feel like I'm just wandering and wandering without a goal to travel towards.

As I look at the people around me, they all seem to know which direction they want to take and have a clear idea of what they're final goal is or at least they have a passion in a specific area. While they're all working towards that goal or passion, I'm sitting here wondering what I'm doing with my life. It's at times like these, I feel like everyone is moving forward and I'm gonna be stuck in the same position forever.

I've asked myself many times, what do you love to do and what can you see yourself doing for the rest of your life? All I can answer is "I don't know." It's true that I do have many interests, I enjoy arts & crafts, baking, dancing, singing, and painting just to name a few but if you ask me which is something I really love and passionate about? I wouldn't have a single clue. I sometimes think of myself as an octopus; I have many different types of interests but none I'm really good at. I have taken different types of courses in the past but I didn't love them so much that I would want to do it for the rest of my life.

Maybe I'm being too picky, maybe I found my passion and I just haven't noticed yet or maybe I just have to look harder, whichever it is I hope I can find it soon. People have said to me "Oh you're still young you have plenty of time to figure things out" but I feel like whatever my passion may end up being it's too late for me and I'm to old to start in that career path now.

I'm normally a person who likes to live each day as it comes, but it still eats at me to not have a general direction of where my life is headed. It's a dark and scary place to be and at times make me feel very small, empty and useless.

People often say that when God closes a door He opens a window or that there will be light at the end of the tunnel. I feel like many doors have been closed for me already, when will I see the window or will it just be another door? Will there be light at the end of the tunnel or will it just be a brick wall? I'm really hoping the former will present itself soon.

Pink Winter

Oh wow I can't believe I haven't posted in half a year...my bad >< I'll try to post more if school permits *crosses fingers*

My first big assignment this semester for my decorating course was to do a window display for a Salvation Army store. We got to pick the theme, the materials we wanted and we finally got to physically work on a project. It was very exciting going into this cause we've never done window displays and it gave us a glimpse of the real world and how we had to go on-site to check out the store, pick up items we may use for the window, communicating with the manager and the floor staff. My favourite part was actually putting our window together since up until now all our assignments were just drawings, and everything was done on paper, so being able to physically put something together was very new and fun. It was especially fun for me since I absolutely love doing hands on things and putting a bunch of stuff together to create a unified display.

My partner, Sarah and I decided to go for a winter and valentine theme to go with the current season, took us shorter than expected to put together and I think it came out pretty well. It took us less time than we had expected and the manager of the store seemed pretty pleased with our work :)

Here's a glimpse of what the window looks like:

Dress I made for the window, had
2 days to make it but I think it came
out pretty good

Transformers: Dark of the Moon

*Double post yay lol*

I watched this today in AVX and it was super amazingly aweomse!

In the third movie of the series and possibly the last movie, we start off in 1961 where an aircraft from Cybertron, known as the Ark, is crash landing on the moon. Fast forward, the year is 1969 and the Apollo 11 lands on the moon in a secret mission to investigate the Ark.

Now we go back to present day, and the Autobots are helping out the military to have peace on Earth and to live in peace with the human race. We continue to follow the life of Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf), now that he's graduated college he's in Washington trying to find a job. We follow him through his interviews and how he doesn't like his girlfriend, Carly Spencer's boss. Now flash forward throug the movie some more, Optimus finds out that the Ark has been on the moon all these years and decides to make a trip to the moon to find the cargo that was inside the Ark when it crashed all those years ago. On the Ark they find Sentinel Prime*, Optimus brings him back to Earth and revives him. I don't want to give spoilers so I will just say that the rest of the story is pretty much how Sam and the Autobots try to save the planet from being taken over by Cybertron.

This movie was action-packed, the action scenes in these movies were crazy. There were explosions, buildings falling over, people disintegrating and lots more.  There were funny scenes, serious scenes, and there was even sad scenes. At one part I was almost close to tears.

While I was watching the trailers and I found out that they had changed the actor for the female lead (from Megan Fox to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley) I was a little upset. I liked Megan Fox's character in the first two movies and I wasn't too fond of Rosie. However, that changed after I watched the movie. I still do prefer Megan but Rosie did a really good job in her portrayal as Sam's girlfriend, Carly Spencer. So for anyone who was like me, watch the movie and give her a chance, she did a pretty good job.

Now the movie is two and a half hours, its long but at the same time its good because it allows for them to go into detail and not skip over anything important. It goes into detail and it also talks about Cybertron and what had happen before the Ark landed. There were also a lot of slow-motion scenes while the Autobots are fighting the Decepticons. In this movie, it mainly revolves more around Optimus and Sentinel, there isn't as much Megatron was there was in the first two movies. So for any Megatron fans out there, you may be a little disappointed.

This movie acts as a really good finale to the whole series and ties everything together and the ending makes it kind of hard to have a sequel to it which makes me believe that this is the finale to the Transformers movies. It's definitely a must watch, you won't regret sitting in the theater for two and a half hours.

Fun Fact: The robots in this movie are quite human, they bleed.

Rating: ★★★★★ (5 stars - absolutely amazing)

*Sentinel Prime was the creator of the pillars and before crash landing on the moon he was the leader of the Autobots. He was also Optimus' teacher.

Green Lantern Movie Review

So I  haven't done a movie review in AGES so I may be a little rusty.

“In brightest day, in blackest night, No evil shall escape my sight.
Let those who worship evil’s might, Beware my power… Green Lantern’s light!

For those of you who aren't familiar with the comic (made by DC) of the same name it's basically about a group of people who were recruited by the Guardians of the Universe who use the green essence of willpower to form the intergalactic police force called the Green Lantern Corps (you can find more info here).

Now I for one haven't read the comics, I have only heard of the green lantern from the Justice League cartoon, so walking into this movie I knew absolutely nothing about the plot or story line. In this movie we follow the main character, Hal Jordan (played by Ryan Reynolds), and we watch how he gets chosen by the green lantern ring (*Abin Sur's ring), how he becomes the green lantern, and the difficulties he has to go through before becoming a true green lantern. All while trying to save his planet from Parallax, which is a fear-essence being who has broken out of his prison and is destroying not only planets but killing other green lanterns in the process.

I won't go in too much into the movie cause really I would recommend you to watch it, it's a pretty good movie, of course it's not as good as "Thor" and "Dark Knight" but it's still a good watch. The animation and graphics are amazing, there are serious moments, sad moments and even cheesy moments that will have you laughing so hard (I know I was). However, that being said, there is a flaw that I found, like I said before I have never read the comics so I was pretty new to the whole story line and plot. One thing that bugged me while watching the movie was the green lantern's names, cause there is a few green lanterns that get referred to in the movie and for someone who is new to the movie and comic, the names can get confusing at times. One part I did like about the movie however, was the beginning where they tell you the story of how the Green Lantern Corps came to be and I found that they explained it quite well, so even for a newbie like me I wounldn't be totally lost.

I think they couldn't have found a better person to play Hal Jordan as the green lantern. Ryan Reynolds played the role very well. I don't think anyone else could have made a better Hal Jordan, he did a good job protraying the various emotions without over-exaggerating them. Now this may be my little bias since I am quite fond of him as an actor and I have liked all the movies I've seen him in.

Overall, this movie was filled with humour and action and really gives you a background story on the green lantern. It shows you the hardships it took for Hal Jordan, a human, to prove himself to all the other green lanterns and show that just cause he is a human he isn't weaker than the other green lanterns (all the green lanterns are from other planets, he was the first human green lantern).

Also, a little tip, make sure you stay till AFTER the credits.

Rating: ★★★★☆ (4.5 stars - the names really got me confused)

*Abin Sur is the green lantern who imprisoned Parallax, who is later wounded by the Parallax and lands on earth where he commands his ring to find a worthy successor.

Stores should close when their suppose to!!

It's 8:50 pm, the store is closing in 10 minutes and your rushing like crazy to get there hoping to make it in time to buy whatever it is your looking for. You get there with minutes to spare but then you see the sign you didn't want to see: "CLOSED," at this point you look at your watch or cell phone and it says 8:55 pm. How many times has this happen to you?

What's the point of having store hours if you don't abide by them? This normally happens wih the smaller stores it hardly happens with the big stores like "Wal-Mart" and "Best Buy" but seriously, yeah I understand sometimes business may be slow and everyone wants to go home a little earlier but you can't wait for 5 more minutes before closing up? It's a pain in the ass to think your gonna make it into that store in time to get whatever you need only to get there and find that their closed and the employees are long gone.

For instance, today I wanted to go to a store to get a nail polish I wanted and I was rushing to get there before they closed. By the time the store was in sight, I knew they had been closed for a while. There weren't any employees in the store cashing out or anything and the store was dark. I walk up to the store to check their business hours and it clearly stated "Fri - Sun 11 - 20:00." I look at my cell and it says "7:55 PM." What's the point of even making store hours if you decide to close whenever you feel like it?

Sorry for my random rant, but I was pretty disappointed and I think many of you may have had the same experience once or twice.

What is wrong with society?

Why is it that when people see a fight happen instead of trying to break up the fight or find authority they just stand around, record the fight and even cheer for a fight? What is it about fights that make people so interested?

Your probably wondering why the random post, well today I was downtown at the Eaton Center, I walk out of the store to see a big group of people crowded around something with their phones held up high recording something. My first thought was "is there some famous person here?" but as I walked closer, in the center of the group were two women arguing. Women A was yelling at women B and as women B tried to walk away women A kept going after her, yelling after her and kicking. They had two friends trying to break-up the fight and it somehow got to a point where they were heading outside. Women A then went to make a comment saying "you guys want to see a fight (guys = audience filming), come outside" and the crowd again instead of trying to stop the fight or finding the mall security went to cheer on for the fight so they could have something to film. The fight never happened since the mall security eventually got here and broke up the fight and women A was arrested.

Is it really that important to have something to put on the internet that people could just stand by and watch two people fight with each other? I really don't get whats wrong with some people these days.

UPDATE!!!! (finally)

I know I haven't updated in like 3 months >< School has been super busy and at one point there was some drama but I lived through first semester and I can finally write an update ^__^

Alright so first update...I'm done classes!!!! Had my final presentation and my last exam last night...sooo freaking happy it's all over now. I was busting my ass off working on that final project...I even got smacked in the face with a freaking fabric book. If anyone new to the blog is reading this I'm a first year Interior Decorating student, so I gotta look for fabrics and tiles and all that jazz. So I had my presentation yesterday, was totally freaking out cause I absolutely hate presenting in front of people but I somehow did a decent job, didn't really stutter. Then I had to wait five hours for my English exam cause they decided to have it at 7 at night x_x So as of last night at 9pm I was officially done my first semester!!!

Next update....I'm a total hypocrite cause I got twitter =_= Never was a big fan of constantly 'tweeting' what I was doing every minute of the day but me being me gave in to peer pressure (you know who you are lol) and made an account yesterday. I've only tweeted three times so far but maybe I'll start enjoying the tweeting eventually...maybe. If you wanna add me on twitter my username is CBonni...don't ask me why I chose that name its a long story =p

Hmm...let's see what else is there to talk about....in exactly a week from now I'm gonna look like a chipmunk cause I'll be getting my wisdom teeth removed and after the surgery my cheeks are gonna swell up like crazy...what fun huh?

Well that's all I got for now...hope all of you enjoy the holidays, good luck on your exams and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
